Sandy has long had an interest in staying fit and had previously dabbled a bit in yoga. But it wasn’t until she found herself in the midst of major life changes and stressors that she stepped into her first yoga class in 2011. The strength, flexibility, balance and calm gained from the practice of yoga helped her navigate this difficult time. She then began studying Iyengar Yoga with Nina Pileggi in 2015 and currently maintains this mentoring relationship as she works towards becoming a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher. She has completed two teacher training programs and has participated in workshops led by Janet McLeod, H.S. Arun and Rebecca Lerner. Being herself a latecomer to yoga, Sandy has personally experienced the fact that it’s never too late to begin and benefit from the practice of yoga and wishes to share this experience with others.
